Well….it has been long, since we encountered an issue with the Mobile Phone.

Today, we came across one. And you cannot believe how happy we were to face the new challenge!

But alas, it did not last long! The issue was resolved in less than five minutes! :D

So, here’s how it started.

Device: Google Nexus 4.

Suddenly Google Play Store ceased to start. We clicked (and clicked) on the Play Store icon, but nothing happened. It did not start at all.

So, we began with the common ritual. Restart!

When re-started the Google Nexus 4, the system displayed following alert message:

The Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped

Now, here’s what resolved the issue for us:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Select ‘All’ (not ‘Downloaded’ or ‘Running’)
  4. Scroll down till the end
  5. You will see ‘Download Manager’
  6. Click on it
  7. In our case, it was disabled
  8. Just ‘enable’ the download manager
  9. Come out
  10. Once again click on ‘Play Store’ icon
  11. Hurrah! It works!

After following these steps, our Google Nexus 4 was happy to open the Play Store!

Time to play…once again!
