Fandry is not just a movie. It is an experience! There is no melodrama. No propaganda either. It hardly takes any cinematic liberties. No actor seems to be acting. They are very natural while moving in front of the camera.

The story depicts the few days in a life of a teenager- Jabya, a lower caste boy. Jabya seems good in studies. He has some innocent dreams about the life.

Will these dreams get fulfilled? Or would they be crushed by our existing social system?

Fandry makes you think. It disturbs you. There is a great void after the movie ends....both on screen and in your mind. It takes you some time to come back to the normalcy and realize that Fandry is over.

But then, is it really over??? Or has it just begun???

It is one of the best movies I watched. Do not go to Fandry if you want to see a masala entertainer, which requires no brains. Fandry is different. It makes you think.

It is a rare movie. It gives us a chance to re-visit our social system and see how the life goes in rural India.

Go for it!

Hasee Toh Phasee is a Hindi Romantic Comedy. It is one of the best Bollywood romcoms.

Hasee Toh Phasee is fast, witty and funny. It has multiple LOL moments. Dialogues are crispy. The lead pair of Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra is perfect. The music is good.

Parineeti Chopra is the real hero of Hasee Toh Phasee. She is one of the best actresses in Bollywood at the moment.

If you are a fan of romcoms, this one is must see.

We have already reviewed the first two installments of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit Movie Trilogy.

The Hobbit is essentially a children's fantasy novel written by Mr. JRR Tolkien. It was published in 1937.

The Hobbit serves as a prequel to The Lord of The Rings. It is how it all begun. While The Hobbit is lighter in its tone (considering it is a children's novel), The Lord of The Rings is much more serious and dark.

The Hobbit chronicles the story of the journey and adventures of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, from Hobbiton, Shire.

Hobbits are peaceful people who don't like any adventures. One day, a Wizard - Gandalf and a company of Dwarves (under the leadership of Thorin Oakenshield) visit Bilbo and offer him a job of 'burglar' for their mission to Lonely Mountain. In Lonely Mountain waits the fierce dragon – Smaug, The Magnificent.

Smaug is the one who destroyed Erebor, the prosperous city of dwarves under the Lonely Mountain. Now, dwarves seek the revenge and want to reclaim their gold and treasures stolen by Smaug.

They visit dangerous forests, misty mountains, deep dungeons, elven capital, Woodland Realm, Beorn’s house and Gollum's cave during their journey. They are confronted by Trolls, Goblins, Wargs, Giant Spiders and many creatures along the way.

It is a typical Tolkien book. A modern classic and a must read.

One thing that is inevitable after appointing Jose Mourinho as a manager is the guarantee of victories, success and trophies. And that is visible in Chelsea's performances in this season, so far.

This is the first season of Jose after his return to Stamford Bridge. Considering Chelsea's pathetic displays in the league in last two seasons, they were not expected to pose a serious challenge in the title race. However, 20-odd games in the league and they are in with a realistic chance of winning the league.

They are still in the transition phase. They still need to address a couple of issues. But Jose Mourinho has managed to extract the results from the available (talented but inexperienced) resources. They are still undefeated against the big boys this season. Stamford Bridge has once again become a fortress under the special one. Rivals have again started to fear facing Chelsea.

Mourinho is a clever manager and a great tactician with amazing man-management skills. He knows what he wants from his players. He is not afraid to drop the big names if they do not fit in his system.

He was criticized at Real Madrid for benching Casillas and preferring Diego Lopez. It was one of the reasons he left Real to join Chelsea this summer. But Jose was vindicated when his successor at Real Madrid - Carlo Ancelotti, also preferred Lopez in front of goal.

Mourinho did the same at Chelsea. Juan Mata, the player of the season for last two seasons, was marginalized. But not the performance of Chelsea…..Chelsea and Jose Mourinho have a different relationship. In the hindsight, Jose made right decision in coming back to Chelsea. Because this is the club where people believe in him and where he can implement his strategies without the backlash.

The fans, players and the club love him. They trust in him. He still has many years left in his career, but he is already the (biggest!) legend at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea without Mourinho was always missing something. People spoke of him even after he left. His achievements with other clubs were lauded. Everyone wanted him to come back. This was his home. This is where he belonged. He had given them the success and they had given him the identity. This is a relationship of mutual respect and, above all, the love. It is far beyond the trifle matters like money. He is an undisputed king here. He is revered and adored in this part of London. This is where he became big and he knows that. And this was the time Chelsea needed him badly. They were inconsistent, lost too many games and flattered to deceive. And Jose answered the call!

The return of the Special One has taken care of that. It has done wonders to the confidence of both - the club as well as the manager. Chelsea are once more a force to reckon with. They are fierce. They are fearless. They are confident. They believe that they can win the games from any situations. They have started to regain that old aura of invincibility.

Jose has brought the discipline, they were lacking, to their game. It is becoming difficult to break their defense. They are coming out victorious even on a bad day. The work-rate of players has improved significantly. The team chemistry is at all-time high.

With Jose at the helm and looking at the abundance of talent they are having in first team, reserves and academy, they will dominate the European Football for many seasons to come.

We can safely say that United's loss is Chelsea's gain!

Dagadu!!! Yes……. Dagadu is the name of our hero in the latest Marathi Movie – Timepass (TP). Dagadu has just failed in his secondary examinations. All his friends but Dagadu have joined the junior college.

Dagadu, our affable street ruffian, falls in love with Prajakta Lele. Dagadu belongs to a poor family. His father is an Auto-Rikshaw driver and works day and night to meet both ends. While, Ms. Lele comes from a typical (and strict) middle class family.

While, Dagadu spends his time in his (harmless) Tapori-giri, Prajakta studies hard, goes to library and learns classical music. Would these two different worlds come together?

Timepass (TP) is a funny story about the teenage love. It looks like a sequel to other Marathi Movie ‘Shala’. While ‘Shala’ ends when the protagonists enter SSC, Timepass begins after the SSC exams are over. Timepass has freshness, charm and innocence about it. The characters hardly enter the path of melodrama. The movie doesn’t end in predictable way but it speaks about a new beginning.

The scene at the library where Dagadu and Prajakta communicate using the titles of books is hilarious. Also, the scene where Prajakta imitates Dagadu is also funny. There are many comic moments in the movie.
Music, cinematography, finishing and acting are superb. Prathmesh Parab and Ketki Mategaonkar give solid performances as lead actors.

It is worth every buck you spend!!!
